I've definitely seen the line cutting at left turns. Happens at nearly every backed up left turn in the metro. People pretend to go straight then cut left last minute instead of waiting in line. The ONLY reason it's possible, however, is due to the number of idiots in the left turn lane that are too busy playing with their phone to go when the car in front of them does. This creates a gap that they sneak into. I always keep the gap close on left turns to prevent them from getting in, but usually the idiot behind me let's it open 2 car lengths or more.

Everyone keeps saying their region has the worst drivers that it's hard to believe it anymore.

When I was in HS, a lot of my classmates had gotten into accidents when they first started driving. Surprisingly, more often than not, it wasn't their fault! That still doesn't disprove that teens are not dangerous drivers - many of them do not have enough experience to know how to evade other bad drivers and they end up in more wrecks than the average driver due to this. I think the stereotypical image of teen drivers being carefree and risk taking is a bit inaccurate but overall, they're still more accident prone than others.

And I grew up in Southern Michigan, home to some of the "better" drivers in the nation according to multiple studies and personal experience, at least compared to California and Texas.

Same here.

You really don't hear too many complaints about Detroit drivers. The only thing, they definitely haul it (but not in a wreckless way).
