You guys are getting what you wanted (Watch out drivers: Troopers look to crack down on speeders | WSB-TV). Everyone else with a lead foot (Myself included), slow down and do the speed limit this week. Cops are cracking down even if you go 5 mph over the speed limit. This is not just the Atlanta metro police doing this but it is all southern states joining in.

Aggressive driving around Atlanta is beyond speed limits. I had someone this weekend blow their horn and flip me off because I didn't run a red light.

You're a lucky guy. The first time some DA rear ends you at 50mph because they couldn't stop in time due to excessive speed, your view will change.

The issue isnt that people are going 70 in a 65 or 65 in a 55, its that the general flow of traffic in metro ATL is typically 60-75 mph and there are MANY people who drive 85-100 mph weaving between cars and passing on the left or right many times with no indicator and tailgating too.

If this was i16 with nothing around, im not against 85mph, since its wide open and few cars, but this cant be done in heavy metro traffic.

Maybe the DOT needs to build speed lanes and charge a toll and you can drive 85-100mph all you want lol.

I agree with the bolded. That would be boon to the GA pockets.
