Will split our stay between a hotel in Alpharetta and another in Duluth. Any advice for things to do with 2 teens and an 8 y old during this week? would prefer spending time outdoors more than indoors. Any good place to go hiking, rent bicycles and ride in the greenway or similar place? I am getting worried that they may get bored so please any advice will help also, indoors activities and places to go, we could also drive for up to abt 2 hr each way if there is a place that would ne interesting, fun to see or do...thanks

Georgia Aquarium is a must see.

If the weather is nice check out Amicalola Falls or Kennesaw Mountain.

Within two hours, there are tons of places to go hiking. Chattahoochee National Forest, and all of its hiking and little towns, is less than two hours north of Alpharetta.

For biking, you can go on the Beltline in Midtown, which would be only a few miles, or the Silver Comet Trail in Cobb County which stretches past the Alabama state line.

As someone else said, Georgia Aquarium is always a good choice, and the kids might like World of Coke.

My kid's only five, so I don't really know the places for teens and older kids.

There is a Zagster bike sharing station at the Suwanee Greenway. Use the entrance on Buford Highway south of McGinnis Ferry Road and drive to the parking lot at the end. It's a nice path, and you can ride to the Mall of Georgia, which your kids would probably enjoy. You can also continue in the Ivy Creek Greenway, which is nice as well. This should be relatively close to where you are staying in Duluth.
