We are considering a possible relocation to the Atlanta area. What are some family friendly areas to consider? Our kids are very social, love playing sports, playing outside with neighborhood kids, etc. Good public schools are very important as well as a friendly, family-oriented vibe. Commute is not an issue. We would love to stay around the $400k mark, but are willing to go up to $650k for the right neighborhood. Thanks!!

I would say East Cobb (unincorporated areas between Marietta and Roswell), Roswell, Alpharetta, Milton, Johns Creek, and Sandy Springs are good places to start researching. If commute truly doesn't matter at all, of if you could be working in Alpharetta or north, then Cumming and Forsyth County come into play as well. If you work in Atlanta itself though, I wouldn't personally want to live further north than Roswell or Alpharetta, and even some parts of those can have pretty rough commutes into Atlanta.

Some additional information about your preferences for cul-de-sac suburban vs. more urban feel, where you'll be working, etc. might help people hone in on a more specific set of recommendations.
