I hope they do a better job at selling the idea to the public. It's taken me a while to understand the concept that growth is the key to keeping property taxes at a manageable level and to keep the city from going into decline, but now I get it. Like citi and Newsboy said, I don't think high rent apartments would lead to all the problems that more affordable ones do. Those new ones in Fayetteville really are a lot more than a mortgage would be. Don't they have other restrictions about the amount of income each tenant needs to make too? I didn't even realize it was legal to restrict tenancy on that basis.
