Clearing out a basement as part of closing an estate. There is a large quantity of books in very good to excellent condition. They are currently packed/stored in about two dozen large 4 cubic foot Rubbermaid containers in a walk-out basement. Hardcover, trade paperbacks, and regular paperbacks along with coffee table books across a variety of adult genres such as historical fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, biography, reference, cooking, art, etc.

Looking to find a charity (or potentially even a commercial entity) who might be able to pick up these as a donation. Want to get these books to folks who may enjoy them, as opposed to sending them to a dump. Do y’all have any recommendations on any organizations who may be able to pick up the full lot? Located near Stone Mountain.

Try your local library. Many accept donations for fundraising book sales.

I can advise you to sell books in bulk here https://booksrun.com/b2b/bulk-sell. They will be able to pick up the entire shipment of books at once and will do free shipping. You will get money for your unwanted books and give them a second life.

I highly recommend you give it to Reds Corner. It’s a book store in Tucker GA. They take used books and sell for extremely affordable rate.

A couple of other stores that will purchase used books:

Atlanta Vintage Books (they are very particular about the books' condition, however).

The Book Nook
