One place I'd check into is Christian City in Union City. I know they offer many things - including respite care . I'm just not sure if they offer a group home for individuals with special needs.

I dont know what special needs your child has. I can give you some info I have learned if it is a mental special needs. I know if your child is hospitalized for thier issue and you request that they need to go into some type of assisted living arrangement because you can no longer do it alone they can not let the child or adult child leave the hospital without some where to go that is the only way I have found to get help in some type of assisted living or group home. There is alot more help if your child is collecting SSI. I am slowly finding different programs you seem to have to be desperate and let them know that living at home is no longer an option because if you act like it is they will give you no help or options.

Did you find some group homes? Please share them since I'm searching for an adult group home for a relative who has bi-polor and the parents can't take care of him anymore.
Thank you!!

If your son is an adult, Annandale Village in Suwanee is nice, though it probably has a waiting list. If you have an MR waiver, you can check with your Community Service Board (CSB) to see if you can become a sponsor home for your son or have him placed in one. Good luck.

My adult son is in hospital, and has been there for over a year, and they are suppose to be looking for a group home for him, because living at home is no longer an option, and they are telling me all different stories and they are now trying to send him back home to me until they find a place. What should i do?

Default don't take him into your home - once you do they don't help you anymore!

Don't take him back into your home, because once you do, they don't have a need to help you anymore.
