Making a move out there soon, want to know if there are any bad areas of Suwanee and Alpharetta that i should stay away from? i've narrowed my search down to these two places for their neighborhoods and schools. I know in Duluth there were threads saying to stay away from specific area codes and the south end of it, etc so any help on these 2 cities would be great!

Thanks.............

It makes a difference in terms of property taxes, etc.

I would move to Suwanee( if I had to move to Gwinnett). The best tip I can give you is to drive around yoru perspective neighborhoods day and night, and attend neighborhood meetings before buying. This way you get the inside perspective.

Suwanee is fine as long as you are on the west side of I-85. Alpahretta has some shady areas around Hwy. 9 and a few apartment complexes off of Cumming St. I think that the rest of Alpharetta is fine.

Where in CA are you moving from? I recommend Roswell, Dunwoody and Sandy Springs all areas in Dekalb/Fulton Counties.

Yeah, there was actually a murder on Hwy 9 last year involving illegal immigrants (I think it was techically in Roswell), but not too far from the downtown Alpharetta area.
