Hi to everyone.... I'm an Italian guy just arrived in Atlanta. I've been in some clubs during this first weekends and I saw that there are many places where people use to dance salsa... I took some lessons at beginning level in Italy but just basics of Cuban Salsa (and a little bit of merengue)... here i saw dancing another kind of salsa I don't know. Can you suggest any place to get salsa lessons in Midtown area in the evening (like after 8p.m.) ? I don't have any car so I'd prefer to be in this area. I know that there are some clubs where you can get free lessons before the party.

Best, Francesco

This is a good place to start. There are several others around the city once you go to a couple you'll find out where one that is close to you might be since they change location pretty often.

Francesco,
i have been to 2 salsa clubs in atlanta. La Rumba is not that good and i don't know the name of the other one. I am also looking for one because the other ones are not good anymore. I will try salsambo next because they have salsa classes. Their website is removed by moderator - sorry, you need an established posting history here before you can post URL recommendations to avoid possible advertising.

I would recommend PasoFino for dance lessons - they're in Sandy Springs but the instructors are great. I would also recommend Sancturary for a dance club.

How about Daza Dance club in Buckhead? It used to be TakeHold Ballroom.
