Do you know if there is any european food market (especially italian?). I'm looking for some cookies, "Savoiardi" (to prepare a cake). I didn't find it at Publix. I live in Midtown.

My first guess would be to try Whole Foods. They have alot of Euro delicacies, but not everything...

E. 48th Street Market, Dunwoody, GA (Awesome place...reminds me of Central Grocery in NO and a true NY Italian Deli-unfortunately it is in a strip mall in Dunwoody) Charlie is the owner-super guy and great Itlaian foods, groceries, and treats. Based on his father's place on E 48th St. in NYC.

Also, Buckhead Italian Market & Bakery on Roswell. Marcello and his mother run the place. Very personalized service at both places. Fresh Italian cuisine and ATL's best secret. Always fresh and delicious. I'm addicted to both places!!

I second E. 48th Street. I love to eat lunch there (great pasta, soups, and sandwiches). You can also buy pizza kits to make at home (homemade sauce and dough) that are delicious!

Dang, how did I miss this place? I'm insane about Italian food. I see now I've got to get out of my car and walk around a bit.

Uh, Ciccio, once you make the tiramisu, do you mind if I come by for a bit?

Since you're in Midtown, I would try Toscano & Sons on Marietta Street. Here's the website for directions. Toscano & Sons

This Toscano & Son sounds good, I will try it.... anyway today i've been at Whole Foods market but there is very few choice of what i'm looking for... and my god! Prices are so high. That kind of shops is a standard quality for every little market in Italy and prices are a third of here. You are very unlucky guys .

Anyway i was looking for some simple biscuits but It seems that in U.S. you don't eat so much cookies . So i changed my plan and I'm trying to invent a "cakemisù" (mix of cake and tiramisù).

I hope you can find the Italian cookies. If not could you substitute lady fingers?
