It ain't just a job with them. Its a life. I do not see this relationship being anything good.
My opinion, for what it is worth.
I'll second that. I built a data center for Samsung back in 2001, and it was being overseen by a few guys who were brought over from Korea to run it. Like you said, they didn't understand the concept of "we'll finish that tomorrow", or "that's not my job", which were both very common phrases on a union construction site.

Chalk another one to Georgia and their role in racing to the bottom with at-will employment and McJobs. We'll [taxpayers] still be here to involuntarily pick up the tab for these folks' underemployment.

Here is a map of the COLA (Columbus-Opelika-Lagrange-Auburn) regional impact of the Kia and Tier 1 suppliers.

Johnson Controls in the new NW Harris Industrial Park in West Point (the Harris County part, not the Troup part). Johnson is having regional job fair in Columbus.

All of this seems rather far from Columbus. How long is the commute to these jobs from Columbus?

It is. Well depends on what you call far. Columbus is like 45 minutes from West Point. So I don't think Columbus itself will see a lot of job growth but more in Harris county, the Valley and Lagrange, also of course West Point. I think there will be little if any job growth in Atlanta though.
