Outcomes Health Information moved into 47,000 square feet at 13010 Morris Road, Building 2. It has about 200 employees and said it plans to add 100 new jobs over the next year.

100 new jobs coming to DeKalb


More than 100 new jobs will come to DeKalb County.
Logistics company Marten Transport broke ground Friday on a new 35-acre site in the Stone Mountain Industrial Park.
Once completed, the company will transfer about 150 employees from its facility in Forest Park and create another 100 new positions in the first year, CEO Burrell Ellis said.
Future expansions could bring another 300 more jobs.

Online job openings rise from a year ago

Online advertised vacancies were up about 32 percent in Georgia in March from a year ago, the Conference Board reported Wednesday.
Georgia’s online job postings hit 110,700 in March, compared with 84,000 in March 2009.
However, postings in the Peach State were down 1.6 percent (or by 1,800) from February to March.
Atlanta’s online job postings were up 46 percent year-over-year in March to 69,700. This made Atlanta the ninth-best market in the March report.

A New York-based electronics manufacturer will announce plans today to relocate its service division headquarters to Gwinnett County, bringing 100 jobs with it.

Interstate National moves HQ to Atlanta

Interstate National Corp. said Thursday the relocation of its world headquarters to Atlanta is nearly done.
Interstate National's new headquarters will house its brands, including Interstate National Dealer Services (INDS), National Warranty Corp./Payment Insured Plan Inc. (NWC), Provida Group, MBAC, INDS Canada and RpmOne's management, sales and call center teams.

Atlanta Business Chronicle: Ga inching closer to winning solar HQ

The Peach State just got closer to landing a solar company’s U.S. headquarters and more than 600 jobs.
Germany based Mage Solar, which had also been considering Mississippi and Arkansas for a headquarters and a solar module manufacturing plant site, has dropped Arkansas from the shortlist, the company said Friday.

Metro Atlanta received its second significant job infusion in as many days when an Arkansas-based frozen goods manufacturer on Thursday said it would open a facility in Henry County and hire 242 workers. De Wafelbakkers, which makes pancakes, French toast and waffles, will move into a 92,000-square foot building in McDonough, its second manufacturing plant in the U.S.

Sony gets $4M to move unit HQ to ATL

Sony Ericsson was offered $4 million in state economic incentives to lure the firm's North American headquarters to Atlanta, state officials told Atlanta Business Chronicle on Friday.
As previously reported, the handset maker is bringing 180 jobs to the area and locate in Terminus 200.
