We lived in Costa Rica for 4 years, and now live in Boquete Panama, we are looking at living in north Georga, we do not want a large city like Atlanta, but not too small where there is not much, we need good medical, shopping, golf and most of the normal things, we are retired but still very active, so we need help on a nice community.

Have you looked at the Augusta area? That's the golf mecca of the world.

Also, define big city. Most of what people call Atlanta actually isn't Atlanta. The Metro area is HUGE.

Augusta isn't a city with a population of 1000, but it's smaller than Atlanta.

Also if you want decent medical, shopping, and golf you can't go out to the middle of nowhere. You almost have to be closer to a larger city to have those things at least anything decent. I'm guessing you want more than a Waffle House and a Wal-Mart. Who doesn't?

There's a forum for Augusta as well. They're really helpful on there also.

Good luck wherever you end up!
