Default Are there any decent German restaurants in Atlanta or Cobb?

My husband's birthday is coming up and he LOVES German. I have never even had it so I am not sure where to go.

Petite Auberge at Toco Hills has French and German dishes. Great place; they have an annual Oktoberfest event that is great, too.

There's also a big, famous German restaurant in Stone Mountain Village.

It is called The Village Corner.

*Yes, the Village Corner and the Petite Auberge are not exactly in Atlanta City Proper or Cobb, but they could be worth the trip!

Here's one listed in Duluth: Kurt's and Vreny's Restaurant and Biergarten - Duluth, GA

I know it's not Cobb or Atlanta.

Here's the Yelp review on The Village Corner: The Village Corner - Stone Mountain, GA

Helen, Georgia has a number of German/Bavarian themed restaurants. It may be a little drive, but I'm simply mentioning options.

Yep, we like Petite Auberge. It was opened by a German couple 50 years ago; they gave it a French name then b/c Germans weren't quite so well regarded as they are now....

I know this thread is almost 2 months past but there is a really great bakery that my girlfriend and I go to pretty much every weekend. It's called Bernhards Bakery it's off of Atlanta road near Dobbins (down from Smyrna Market Village). Their breads and sweets are as close as we have found here in the states to being German (my girlfriend is from Germany). My favorite are the pretzels, but get their early to get the cheese ones,
here's their info.
