subdivisions near Walton High school, Harrison High school? (Atlanta: for rent, houses)

we are relocating to the Atlanta area, husband is going to be working on Paces Ferry Road so we need to find a nice home to rent in the area, something newer but not so close to each other house. we have heard Walton High School, Sprayberry high school and Harrison are good schools (we have a daughter going into 9th grade), so its important to us! we are looking for anyone to head us in the right direction as we have never been to the area, but we are flying there in a few weeks to hopefully look at some houses. it would be nice to be able to tell a realtor what areas we want to live so if anyone knows any nice neighborhoods, safe, quiet, close to shopping, gyms, restaurants, etc, it would be appreciated. also, we are looking for a house, 3000 sq feet or more, 4 + bedrooms, fenced in backyard, possibly on a cul de sac if anyone knows anything like that for rent, we are wanting to pay no more than $1800 per month. thanks

I think you will be happy with Walton, Lassiter, Pope, Sprayberry or Harrison high school districts... based on where your husand is going to be working, I think you need to stay in the East Cobb area (the first 4 districts I mentioned). Walton is considered to be the cream of this crop from what I gather but the houses in the district tend to be older, smaller and more expensive.
