Could you tell me a little about what you are looking for? What specifically led to Greater Atlanta Christian (if it was more than a google search)?

Thanks

Smile Greater Atlanta

We are looking for a school that will offer a lot of opportunities for our children. We liked the all the extra curricular activities that the larger school provides. We are looking for a place where our children will have a well rounded, christian education. We also want a school that is K4-12. I hope this helps.

Woodstock would definetely be too far. I will repeat the Atlanta forum mantra - buy your home near where you are going to work (and take your child to school). Traffic is horrible here. Don't rely on mapquest for travel time - I would double the estimate that mapquest gives you during non rush-hour. Triple during rush-hour.

West Cobb will be a good choice, as well as Smyrna.

Question Question

Thank you all for the comments and suggestions. Whitefield Academy was sugested. It is in Mableton. If we live in Marietta or Smyrna, what would average commute time look like? we have friends that live in the Marietta area as well as Smyrna. Thank you.

Default Moving to Atlanta

Hello,

I understand your dilema. As a 47 year resident of Atlanta, here's my suggestion. Look into the Smyrna area, just outside of I-285. There is a new christian school in the area called Whitfield Academy. We have a few friends with kids there. You'll also be no more than 10-15 minutes from Cumberland Mall. Please don't attempt to live in Roswell/Alpharetta and work at Cumberland unless you love your car and want to spend lots of time with it. Another option is to live in East Cobb, send your kids to Greater Atlanta Christian School in North Cobb.

Best of Luck and Welcome to Atlanta!
