This one is funny. A MARTA bus driver forced passengers to pray on his bus. I wonder if it was because of his bad driving or was he just asking the divinty for clear roads.

I've felt the need to pray on MARTA more than once

That's a very bizarre story. Never seen a bus driver stop to pray, but have definitely seen them stop to grab food or a lotto ticket.

I was rollin when I read the story...

Yet, I don't see the need to complain unless he forced to stay on the bus. If, he asked and I didn't want to participate and I just get off and think he was a lil off...

That's because they don't get decent breaks no matter how much Marta claims that they do...

Not the point. You want to pray, go to church. A bus is for getting where you're going, and if the driver is just sitting there for no good reason, then you're not getting where you're going. I won't even go into the religion on a public bus discussion.

I'd probably drop MARTA an e-mail as well. No need for any of that nonsense.

Yeah, I'm aware of that so I don't really get upset about it. They usually ask if it's ok and it usually during non-peak hours. It's just the ones who stop and just get out and act like they didn't do anything.

LOL - me too! Even though I don't live in Atlanta, I travel down there quite frequently.

I've had two unfortunate incidences on MARTA - once we were over near the High Museum and our bus was in an accident. We weren't allowed to leave the bus until they "cleared" us. Apparently a women cut off the bus and wedged her car between the bus and another vehicle. How she didn't see the bus was beyond me.

The other time I was on the MARTA train and it broke down at Lindbergh station. Luckily I was with some people who live in Atlanta so we were able to figure out where to go.

So yes ... I agree ... I've felt the need for prayer on MARTA too.
