Hi All,

My girlfriend is looking for an apartment in Roswell / Alpharetta or surrounding areas with a good commute (upto 30 mins) to the Northpoint Mall area where she works.

She'll be living on her own as I don't live in the area yet, and has a fairly low budget - upto around $650 rent.

I'd really appreciate any specific neighbourhood / apartment complex recommendations or warnings - main concerns is that it's safe and fairly clean. You get some horror stories, and there will always be a few poor experiences, but any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

She'll have to raise her budget for Roswell/Alpharetta area.
1Bdrms are easily $800+

I'm with KB- $650 isn't going to get her anything in that area that I'd be willing to let my girlfriend live in.

Try contacting promove.com
Many on here have used them and they seem to have a decent reputation putting people with places that match them (if it's possible within certain budgets)

Hi!

I have lived in numerous apartment complexes around the Roswell/ Alpharetta area and currently work in a local bar there, so have the low-down on the dumps.
Here is my personal opinion....

!) Autumn Ridge Apartments on Eves Road, Roswell, Ga 30076
Nicest apartment community going...beautiful pool... nature trail that leads directly into Roswell Park...Great neighbours...small community
I lived here for 1 year, last year and loved it! Moved for work but highly recommend it.

2) Seven Pines, Holcomb Bridge Road, Alpharetta, GA 30022
$550 for a one bed, Indoor and OUtdoor pool... friends live here....safe and fun...can walk to Kroger, Bars, Taco Mac, various stores etc
Nice place to live

3) AVOID.....

Jasmine at Holcomb Bridge unless you want druggies and noisy horrible kids as your neighbours. A little piece of the ghetto in the burbs...

4) Berkshires on Nesbit Ferry..

See above..despite their claim to $9000000 worth of renovations, they let anyone live there.

Again, just my opinion for personal experience...good luck!!!! Great area to live in!

p.s

the above posting about $800+ for a one bed is inaccurate.
Autumn Ridge which is highly recommended (not just by myself, but by friends who work for apartment locators) reduced their 2 bed price to under $800.
Seven pines under $650.
Webb Bridge Crossing ( near downtown Alpharetta)...v. nice community... 2 bed, 1 Bath...$680

Good luck again!

I know of all the above mentioned complexes plus a few others- I wouldn't recommend any of them to a single female.
But I would recommend-
Walton Centennial (http://www.waltoncommunities.com/centennial/ - broken link)

And yes, it would be around $800. But, for what you get- it's worth it!

Walton Centennial is indeed lovely, slightly pricey.
As for my suggestions, I guess its down to the individual as to what is deemed "safe' or not.
Ive lived alone at a couple of the complexes I mentioned and felt totally safe, but then I moved here from a notorious council estate in North London, so Detroit probably wouldnt seem that bad...lol

Good Luck!
