It's just a girly Looking car (soft and rounded).. like the Miata and pretty much all Nissans.
So what? Do you not have the cojones to ignore what others think and follow your own path? Or are you one of the weak-willed who Must do something that "everyone else" deems acceptable/correct (like, say, own an iphone) in order to feel like you've made the right choice?
my wife loved driving my FJ and i had fun in her modded scion tc; neither of us gave one rat's booty what someone else may have thought about it.... guess i'm secure enough to enjoy my own life, others be damned lol
My buddy is a competitive bodybuilder and LOVES his TT. No one calls him girly. He's also a big car enthusiast and for what it is he has amazing things to say about it.
Mmm... Is it a manly car? Not really. A girly car? It's not really that either, though the styling is pretty soft.
It sort of falls into the same category as the Porsche Boxster. The base Boxster is also seen as a girly car, and sometimes even the Boxster S is as well, which corresponds to the 1.8L and 3.2L versions of the Audi.
I test drove one when I was shopping for a fun little convertible, didn't care for the handling of it, and it strangely felt like I was riding a motorcycle when the top was down... kind of a "buzzy" feeling that you get from vibrations from the handlebars.
If you're going to get an older one, get one with the V6. The earlier versions with the 1.8T only had 180hp while the V6 gave you 250hp, and an even bigger torque difference.
But if you are wondering to get one or not; you should not worry what others think, unless that is a factor in why you want this car.
