How is the Grovetown area vs Aiken? What are the better neighborhoods in Grovetown

Depends what you're looking for really. Aiken has an old South Historic feel to it and Grovetown is definitely more modern and contemporary. New retail spaces, parks etc.

Aiken I would say has a number of restaurants and more options for shopping that are less than a 5 to 8 minute drive and as was already pointed out it has a number of older homes that give it a nice older feeling.
That is not to say that Grovetown is a bad choice as it is has been growing fast as more businesses are coming into it not to mention it is far closer to the interstate so getting into Augusta to go to stores that Grovetown lacks currently is not a hardship.
On the other hand if you are looking to buy rather than rent you might also want to consider either the Harlem or Appling area as that area is about to see a spurt of rapid growth especially after they finish redoing the exit for the interstate there.
