Augusta isn't as humid as Florida. There ARE what have been dubbed "halfbacks" ie. people who move from the north to FL and find the humidity intolerable so they move "halfway back" to the GA/Carolinas area. There IS a difference in humidity between Augusta and most any city in FL.

Where to Retire Magazine? I seem to remember the editor's family went all over the USA examining every city and town - wrote this whole book about retirement. AND then stayed put in Asheville where they are from. Didn't leave me with a warm and fuzzy feeling about their honesty. Asheville isn't on my list of where to retire, but Augusta isn't either.
