There is one top ten list that Augusta made that it probably doesn't want to be on. It ranked #5 in the Fattest Cities in America list.

Mayor Deke Copenhaver is undoubtedly a very fit guy...and there is certainly a problem with obesity in Augusta and its associated ailments like type 2 diabetes. I think it would be a great idea if Mayor Deke Copenhaver launced a City Fitness Campaign... with morning jogs with the mayor...educational programs on proper eating, Workout days, fitness programs at city parks, etc.. You can also still eat a Southern diet in a healthy way and without overindulging. And hopefully next time, Augusta will be off the fattest city list and on the Fittest city list.

Hey, fat girls try harder. Don't knock it unless you've tried. I know a few in Augusta that are fun to take for a spin!
