Your best bet is something in NW Hills that feeds into the Round Rock schools (RRISD extends into parts of NW Austin). Go to any of the online search sites and search for zipcode=78759 and ISD = Round Rock (or Westwood High, which is Round Rock ISD).

Any of the feeder tracks into Westwood are good in that area. There are currently a couple dozen homes listed under $450K, but only 5 are over $400K. Many are in the low $200Ks.

I'd focus there. Great location, good schools, pretty area with hills, easy commute to any of the Tech North job locations.

Steve

NW hills is along mesa etc. None of that area feeds into RRISD. Portions of great hills feed in, as well as barrington oaks, and all the areas north on the west side of 183 and north of spicewood springs rd and 183. (the mountain?)

There is quite a large number of high tech companies out west (amd, arm, intel, marvell, apple, etc), you wouldn't be able to get there in 30 minutes in rush hour, would you?
