It's legal, it's not like i'm old enough to be their father, that's when it gets creepy. Plus, I prefer someone with minimal relationship and sexual experience. I'm also trying to get my life together, so I don't want someone who already has a settled career.

I've spent countless hours on those websites and only get very bad experiences out of them. If you're a guy, you get about a 1% response rate, and that 1% has never worked out for me.

I actually don't care about going to bars for any purpose other than to meet girls. So once i have one I wouldn't go.
So you didn't listen to any advice that was given. Are you even open to advice we may give you or did you just come on here to vent?

Bump

I have a report that he is now dating the homeless lady with big hair that lives in the bushes off Pleasant Valley and Riverside.

They've settled down nicely together in the HEB Parking lot and have a lovely business extracting money out of motorist by way of holding signs that read "Single Grandma" and "Citydata doesn't care about me... help"

Try okcupid.

Most important - do what interests you! Don't focus on meeting a girl. If you are out in the real world doing things you will meet people. What better way to meet a girl than at an event that you are both interested in? Make friends, don't look to date the first time you meet.

I am introverted myself, 26 yr old guy. I met my gf on okcupid, and most others I've dated as well.

Don't go downtown by yourself, it just won't work for a quiet guy. You need to have a circle of friends and meet others that way. Perhaps move in with others your age. I met so many girls when I had girl housemates.

Luckily in Austin, nerds have a chance... my gf calls me a nerd often, because I know so much about bikes.

Yeah, I got about a 10% response rate. 10% of those I actually met. Only one of the maybe 15 girls I met online have worked out, for 9 months now. It' was worth it.

Volunteer. I'd estimate Austin Pets Alive volunteer population is about 90% females, possibly higher, many of them in their 20's.
