I'm a single mother looking to relocate myself & my daughter to the Austin area sometime around the end of May/June.
I would Love to hear what areas are the best neighborhoods to look at for good schools & affordable apartments.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

How old is your daughter? What part of town will you be working? How much are you looking to spend?

My daughter is nine. I have a few options for work, but haven't decide yet.
I'm looking to spend around 650-700. I've seen apartments in that range,
but since I'm not familiar with the area, I'm not sure if they are seedy places.
I'm not opposed to the suburbs either, I am just hoping for some local advice &
guidance.

I am going to guess, but I think rent for a two bedroom in the $650 to $700 range is going to be a lower income area.

Or out of the city limits entirely. Del Valle or Manor maybe?

Cheap rent and good schools do not go together in Austin.
