We do though prefer to go somewhere that has steak and ribs (lunch or dinner). Our hotel is in south Austin though (I-35 and a couple blocks north of 71) so if there is any steak/ribs place CLOSER than Saltgrass (not as expensive as Labert's or Ruth Chris), let me know. Thanks for all the comments!
Funny the advice some people give... you want steak and ribs, they tell you to get BBQ instead... you want steak and ribs at a moderate price, they point you to an expensive place... you want steak and ribs at a moderate price while you are visiting, they tell you to buy meat and cook it yourself.

People are funny, eh?

Based on all that you've said, I'd suggest you take a look at Texas Land & Cattle near Stassney and S I-35.

John Mueller's BBQ (I linked it above) has smoked prime rib steak on Friday.

Looked at Texas Land & Cattle. Yes, I know it's a chain and not Austin Land & Cattle but the prices are much better and it is 2 miles from our hotel after an 11+ hour drive. Thank you OpenD.

I think people were giving her a somewhat local alternative. The OP doesn't need our recommendations to figure out to eat at say Outback or Chili's, which would probably satisfy all requirements.

The ribeye I had at Saltgrass was pretty good. Not the greatest steak I've had in my life, but at the price point it was good. My husband, mr. cheapskate, had the sirloin, and it was not a very good cut of meat and was overcooked. I've yet to have GOOD ribs in Austin.

What is your definition of "good" ribs? You don't go to places like Saltgrass for ribs - you go to a Texas BBQ joint, and there are plenty of those serving decent ribs.

Texas ribs are a different thing from Kansas City ribs, and good BBQ joints don't pressure cook/bake their ribs like restaurants do.

JMueller's and Franklin have some of the best smoked ribs in the state.

Here's a Mueller beef rib - excellent rub, very moist & just falls off the bone:
