Hello, I'm thinking of moving to Austin at some point in the future but I'm trying to get a feel for how the job market is before I do that. How long does it normally take to find a clerical job making around 30,000 a year with benefits. My background is in being a legal assistant, so I would prefer a job in a law office, but I am open to taking anything clerical depending on what I can find. I have a year's worth of rent and living expenses saved up so I'm hoping I can find something within that first year. Do you think this will be enough? Can you guys give me some idea of what the job market is like now for these sorts of jobs? Can you recommend some good staffing agencies?

Thanks!

Chris

That is encouraging to hear! Could you recommend some staff agencies to me as well? How many months do you think it would take to land a full time legal assistant job?
