Hey Austin, Texas! I want to know what the general consensus is in Austin.

Do Texans and BIG 12 fans want the BIG 12 to expand? Or do they want their respective teams to abandon ship? Are you for a "partnership" with the ACC?

In case you haven't been following the realignment rumors...
Expansion one of several items on Big 12 agenda - CBSSports.com

Expand so long as they include my Owls. Hey, how about a conference with UT, A&M, Tech, Baylor, TCU, UH, Rice, SMU and Arkansas?

That combination will never happen again.

A&M is gone for good. They won't be in the same conference as UT unless UT somehow ends up in the SEC.

Same with Arkansas.

Rice is a wonderful school, but since TV rules these days, the TV audience gained with Rice is just too small. UH is slowly but surely climbing in stature, but once again TV doesn't favor them or SMU. I think UT doesn't give a rats a** about Rice, UH or SMU since UT gains nothing for recruiting since UT is already outrecruiting these schools.

I voted do nothing. I think the Big 12 needs to gel and stabilize.

I put for them to do nothing for this poll, with the stipulation that they should expand only if they could add two schools like Notre Dame and Florida State. Then they could be done with it.

The Big 12 needs to expand. I miss the days of watching a Big 12 Championship game with Big 12 North vs. Big 12 South.

UT, OU, OSU, and Tech should join the Pac-12.

I was an opinion, not a prediction.

It quit being about sport a long time ago. Rivalries and tradition gave way to dollars and I doubt there will be any turning back. The tens of millions of dollars it takes to move from one conference to another is just one facet of the business. I'd be somewhat interested in attending a South Carolina game without traveling 1000 miles or more to do so; but, a Texas-based school in the SEC? or Notre Dame in the ACC? Time to change the conference names to X,Y, and Z. Better yet, SELL the conference naming rights to the highest bidder. How about the Big 12-Pack of Shiner Bock Conference

Big XII schools rake in more money than those of any other conference, including the SEC. A big reason why is that there are only 10 teams. They should stay as is for the time being.
