I saw this yesterday, and I thought I would share. Austin is on a very limited list (right now) of cities which AirBnB profiles -- they started out with New York, Paris, London, San Francisco, Washington, DC, Berlin, and Rio de Janeiro and just added Austin, Boston, Venice, and Rome. Kind of neat to be on such an elite list...

Anyway, the neighborhoods profiled are all central Austin 'hoods -- but they have them down to a pretty granular level (even "Parker Lane" over near East riverside). The photos of the neighborhoods are really, really nice --

OMG! I was prepared to totally hate it but I LOVE IT!! I feel all warm and nostalgic. Great pictures and pretty accurate (if rose-colored) descriptions.

Yeah, they refer to E. Cesar Chavez and Holly neighborhoods as 'East Downtown.' Downtown to me means the CBD and possibly adjoining areas with mid-rises and above. I guess 'Central East Austin' didn't have a good ring to it.

Still a very slick site that has great potential.

Oh my I just realized they have a tag for 'some crime.' Every place has crime so I guess they mean crime above a certain, unnamed threshold.

Nice but inaccurate. Great potential with work.
