Did I say don't come?! The demographic profile of Austin has a specific history and specific consequences, different from other places. I just put it out there as an FYI since many from other places are surprised by it.

Steered? Really? If C-D has that much influence, then the Realtors need to be paying some big bucks to SOMEbody!

How many of the 150(give or take) folks flocking to Austin each day have even heard of C-D?

I seriously doubt the attitudes expressed on C-D are confined solely to C-D, they can be indicative of the attitudes of the wider community

Uh. Not really. I know you're pretty intent on trolling this thread, but come back with something that is not so much of a reach.

I sincerely don't understand your question. Are you looking to work in a salon or start a salon? Do you want to live in Round Rock and work in Austin or vice versa?
The nice areas of Austin can be very expensive compared to Round ROck or Pflugerville.
While Austin doesn't have a huge black community I think you'll find plenty of customers if you go in with an established salon at least at first. Is that the situation you are looking for?
