It really depends on where you want to be. A few years ago I would say Downtown…Now I would say the Domain.

I've relocated several people to the Domain over the last year (including a family member) and they love it. Walk to bars, restaurants and retail - Plus great value vs. Downtown. High end units available if you want to pay for it, but still very good value.

Best means different things to different people, define best, price range, life style, etc.

http://theaustonian.com/ is probably one of the most luxurious. $2.2 million for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit.

We are called Angelenos and I may be joining my son and granddaughter there this year. You just won't be able to keep us out with wishful thinking and Snarkiness.

Guess we can try the Oregonian method of open hostility and harassment!

J/K. Good luck with the potential move. Luckily, I think housing prices will be plateauing here for the next couple years - or at least not be running up at 2012-2013's fever pitch.
