Lunar eclipse tonight/tomorrow morning.

Apparently about 5:55 am.

As I read it tho I don't believe we will be able to see the whole thing...

"The eclipse begins at 4:15 a.m. Central Daylight Time, when the Moon first touches Earth’s dark inner shadow. It’ll be fully immersed in the shadow about an hour later, beginning the total eclipse. The Moon will set while the eclipse is in progress as seen from the eastern half of the country. The western U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii, will see the whole thing."

I really wish I hadn't been up that early, but the toddler had other ideas. Pretty cool looking.

I saw it around 6:30, still eclipsed but most of the red color was already gone. Still a neat sight.

One of the kids had me wake her up at 5:45 to check it out...she took one look

"Cool"

and went back to bed. I made coffee.

It was cool however, I think the next one is April next year.

The moon hidden by the clouds around 8:00 this evening was spectacular...as though a spotlight had been placed 'behind' the clouds. It looked like a sunset in the eastern sky!!! Had I not been driving, I certainly would have taken pics. Surely someone out there DID
