I recently accepted an offer at IBM, and I want to find decent apartments as close as I can to the company campus. So far I have looked at "Verano Luxury Apartments", "Village at Gracy Farms", "IMT @ The Domain", and "Residences at the Domain". Are these apartments located in a bad part of town? Are these good options or would you suggest something else?

Try looking along metric which runs behind IBM..plenty of apartments there too.

And no, the Domain is definitely not a bad section of town

It's a good area.

how much do you want to spend, how much space do you want? Any particular amenities

The domain itself is pretty pricey. The area is very close to a bad area which is right around rundberg. As you get north of braker ln, it is nicer. You can also look at the arboretum area as that is a close drive.

Riata is on 183 and not too far away and is pretty nice as well.

The domain is close to Rundberg? Interesting... Considering it's not close at all and "insulated" by the buffer zones of office buildings around the residential portion of the domain.

Riata would be somewhat close, but a complete PITA commute, for almost the same price.

Just rent at the domain.

I'm in the $700-$1000 monthly rent price range. Space-wise whatever that rent gets me. Only amenity I want is washer/dryer connections.

Also, when you say Rundberg what area do you mean? Are you talking about the part of "W Rundberg Ln" that is West of I-35?

And which apartments in Riata are you talking about specifically? Just any?

Thanks for the tip for looking along Metric. Added a couple more to my possibilities.

Scratch the domain for the 700-1000 range.

I'd say the area from Kramer/Lamar south to 183/35 would be generally considered the "Rundberg" area.

Riata is one big huge apartment complex.

I'm currently looking at 2 options in the domain for $1000.

Wow a 20% jump in one lease renewal is a lot. Where did you get the information? Did you used to live there?
