Hi - I am looking for a swim school for my elementary school kids. I was told of Nitro but found it very crowded noisy. Any suggestions ?

Sorry, swim school is naturally crowded and noisy. How could it not be?

Elmer and Nitro are the most prolific. We swam Emler for 3 years and they were great. Taught both my kids to swim with stroke development, starting at age 2 through 7.

Toms Dive and Swim also offers lessons (swam with them too) but they are not really north.

I guess go the private route if the crowds and noise are too much for you.

Beyond Emler and Nitro, you have Aqua Tots up north. They used to have satelite places (they might still have some) so we used them one Summer. It was more about survival in the water than actual learning to swim, which is good for younger ones who don't quite have the muscle control to actually swim.

Nitro is very swim team geared. They want you to learn how to swim so you can advance over to the other pool. It's always good when you can see a path for the lessons. My 7 1/2 year old is on their Bronze team, and my 4 1/2 year old is on level 9 of Nitro 2 and will then move over to the Intro Team. Emler does not have swimming past the lessons. We did a couple of trials in Dallas with Emler and I didn't care for it. Seemed too play-based and not swimming.

Lost Creek Aquatics is both in Steiner Ranch and Lakeway (and another location a bit more South).
...in case that fit your distance needs

Toms Dive and Swim. Westover Club has swim lessons and you don't have to be a member
