Now you can surf here in Austin, so no more concerns of the folks from California complaining that they miss surfing in the OC. Now as they brought it here to their new home in Republic of Austin.

I guess wet dreams do come true .

Surfs up!! Who's in?!!! Food trucks soon to come!!

Lets get out those boards, bring the kids and spa 40 (minimum)!!

Sure, but "Summer 2016" was in October. And last I heard they were aiming for sometime in April.

This place and the high-end gun range might just pass me by.

As a former California surfer dude, I'm willing to try it. Though, I am having a hard time envisioning how realistic of a wave simulation you can get from an amped up wave pool. Hopefully the pool isn't crowded, and having to wait too long in line for your turn to get in would be a real deal-breaker. It would really be cool if they could simulate a cool ocean breeze, salt-water smell, seaweed and lots and lots of sand.

Because you can't be a real surfer until you've been face-planted by some gnarly white-wash into a pile of kelp..lol

Anybody have an idea what the pricing might be?

Pricing? $60-90 for an hour session. More for coaching.

well that is for the big wave. The smaller wave is less. I think it was averaging around 10 waves/hour when busy.

In theory you could get up to 30 waves an hour.

Amen, brother!

I'd add having a kook drop in on you to that realistic portrayal, too.
