You REALLY want to exile them! Maybe they don't need a lawn.

They’ve got a $1200 budget and wanted a mid-size city.

Default There is lots of Texas; but it's not all Austin.

I thought they said 1500 dollars and they wanted to know about Austin. To suggest Abilene as a substitute is...I don't know what to say?!

They did say $1500, but they also asked for other suggestions. I don't think those suggestions were off the mark by any means.

They’ve also posted in every Texas forum, and the budget has decreased.

RoamingTX is Correct. They were posting an interest in Greater SA, Austin, Abilene, Lubbock & Texas in general. They wanted nice for $1200. They wanted "good" schools. They wanted a metro area or small metro area.

I put CP/Leander in there (from greater Austin), but thought the other areas that I mentioned hit most of the data points as well. FWIW, I'm very familiar with all the areas that I recommended, have lived or had extended visits in them (which is why I recommended them).

Other areas i thought about were Denton, Tyler & Belton but figured I had to edit the post at some point.

FWIW, I've lived and worked in NW Houston, NB, San Antonio, Arlington/Mansfield, & NW Austin, & I'm pretty familiar with "bang for buck" areas in regards to neighborhoods and towns that have good schools and good quality of life.
