And as for the other poster of why i just didnt buy in arboretum , we were priced out. Maybe someday 5-6 years from now we will move back (if all the homes in 78579 dont reach $1mill+).

Also i hate driving in Austin, drivers are aggressive and rude. One persons not far away is "pretty far" for the other. For me driving 20+ minutes to get to a place is far.
Good thing you didn't buy 10 years ago when Highland Horizon was flat scrub land and 620 had about 1/2 the development of today...NO Dairy Queen???????? Egads!!!
Plenty of car washes along that stretch They've been developing the area between Highland Horizon and IH35 steadily for the last decade and that carnage you see closer to IH35 will be a seriously redeveloped interchange...I personally avoid the area.

None of the places I mentioned are more than about 20 minutes away. I think you're going to have to get used to driving.

I live in that area too and there are some new stores right by Wyoming Springs Dr. there will be a Chipotle, Whataburger, Popeyes, Wendy’s and more! That would be neat H-E-B too. As of new developments, there aren’t much more as the “vacant land” is the Robinson Ranch land that stretches from the tips of 620 down to Mcneil! That land might be developed in the upcoming years though but no new plans are made as of now. I believe that the developers of Highland Horizon bought their land from the Robinsons too! You just don’t know. To be honest, the area has great potential being close to I -35 and I - 45! If you would like to move to some nicer areas, I suggest maybe Wilson Trace in Cedar Park or C-Bar Rach/ Cross Creek by Brohn Homes! Cross Crek is located directly across the hub of Cedar Park which includes Target, Costco etc!
