Wow that's seriously cold. I really hope we won't have burst pipes or other such nasty events.

Earlier in the week, I saw some folks from Wisconsin moving into their new Crystal Springs home. I'm sure the 75 degree weather was a welcome 'Welcome to Texas' during their move!

Boy oh boy, did we FOOL THEM!!!!

It wanted to be hail up here. It was just a notch away from becoming hail.

Given the build times, they might have gotten in before this latest round of "inflation". Likely closed last summer? and "saved" that fifty grand!!! The lot(s) we are interested in are just down the block from their new place. They will be dealing with construction all around them for the next nine months or so.

Yea, there's new construction going on all around me with no end in sight, they threw up 2 new subdivisions in the short year I've lived here and two apartment complexes in what used to be empty field.. then they also have that new mixed-use community going up in the new downtown Leander which is less than a mile from my house .. I get brownouts frequently unfortunately, I was forced to buy a UPS or have my equipment fried.

Edit: This is pretty insane...

My daughter is doing school in-person and is a relatively new driver. When she walked into English class, her teacher was like, "Why are you still here? Go home before the weather gets worse." So she's home and doing virtual school for the rest of the day. The roads are just wet right now, and will probably stay that way, but better to be safe. Unless you're on a bridge or overpass, you should be OK.
