under 200 sq ft might not need a permit.

The thing to pay attention to is impervious cover and your home zoning. I had a sizable concrete one made when we lived in Austin, had the survey, square footage calculations, home owner's approval, drawings, completed application. Spent 3 hours at the office and they said no permit needed once I laid everything out. Your experience may vary. GL.

Wow that would have been frustrating.

Begging an incorporated city, for your personal liberty to do as you please with your own property.... Oh wait, you don't really own it.
Why? Because Private Property is a basic natural right, protected by the 9th amendment, that is forbidden and no longer allowable..... Why, because rights cannot be taxed.............

Once you pay off your loan or pay cash for land... File for TITLE, not just a deed! File a patent on your property, with a copyright, on your apelet name(IN ALL CAPS)
Playing their game, with their rules..... The rules they do not want you to know about.

When I inherited my parents house in 78704, the city flipped ****, when they thought I was bluffing.
They cannot levy a property tax on my PRIVATE PROPERTY. They no longer have jurisdiction.
Frankfort v. Waldo.
