Yeah it sometimes kills me to pay 20k a year for my two kids to go to private school, but its totally worth it for them not to be anywhere near these marxists that have infiltrated the school systems. I removed mine from leander ISD.

Or you could read the article that was posted by the local news shortly after the incident, instead of three months later when a censured board member got on a far-right podcast begging for money to help her pay her attorney fees.

Your links support my post. Thank you. And it wasn't three months ago, not that it matters.

Love that police comes to visit parents at home after meeting and jail parents to make sure that nobody will resist mandates that are against state law.

When moving my kids from RRISD to charter school, principal asked 'why'. Quite a few additional reasons in article.

I think the “back the blue” crowd just found out what happens when you break the law. Isn’t that what they are always harping about?

Yeah, was kind of my thought. Seems it is a simple case of enforcing law, right?

Exactly. They sure don't like it when their hypocrisy is revealed.

Looking at this deeper and applying principality…

At the state level, Texas seems to allow parents to object to any teachings that conflict with their religious or moral beliefs. If that is true and is the case then on a state level, the school technically is breaching a legal right at the state level. If parents are aware of this right and have legitimate concerns over what is being taught, then the parents are not performing wrongdoing by objecting, especially if the school is unwilling to listen to their concerns.

On the other hand, at the federal level, no such clause exists, infact it’s the exact opposite. Parents have 0 rights to contest what is being taught in public schools and have 0 say as per what curriculum is taught to their children. In this instance, the school would technically not be in the wrong in terms of law in refuting the parents objections. Although the police escort seemed a bit overkill if the parent wasn’t being unruly, hostile or unwilling to leave the premise upon request. (If they were asked to leave and didn’t leave however that’s another story as that technically under law falls under the premise of trespassing, even if the parent feels it’s unfair, it’s still technically lawful.)

This is non-unique to Texas, there are many states that contest parental rights vs federal law which ends in a tussle of going back and forth.

Applying more principality here… …There’s a reason there’s a large divide between the left and the right and I do not believe it is because of racism, inequality, ect. I believe it’s because people on both sides are too heavily opinionated on what they believe, unwilling to understand where the other side is coming from and unwilling to compromise. Both sides are very guilty of this. I don’t think that everyone on the hard right wing side, is pro-racism, inequality, ect but more so are pushed in that direction in fear of losing certain qualities of life they value in lue of what extreme left places are doing. Likewise, I don’t think everyone on extreme left is pro-lawlessness, or pro socialism in every aspect of life, but are more careful upon their footsteps as they want a balanced society. In terms of law, that specifically can’t be helped. Law doesn’t care what political side you cater toward. It only cares if you’re following it or not. I believe there are reasons Trump for example had such a strong following on the far right wing, but that doesn’t necessarily equate to them support racial supremacy… it means they supported his policy, not his personal behavior or personality. The same applies for Biden as well (only through a different crowd of people.) My personal opinion stems down to the belief that neither side has malicious intent, but are only trying to protect their values, and neither side is willing to listen, and the key word ‘listen’ is a something I personally have found to be an important attribute in life. It’s easy to jump into conclusions about someone but there’s that saying that goes ‘before you criticize someone, walk a mile in that person’s shoes’ and for Ashbeeigh particularly, I’m going to top that off with adding ‘so that way when she comes after you, you’re a mile a way AND you have her shoes’ … had too …

I do not believe that the parents had malicious intent, nor do I believe they were sitting there twiddling their thumbs wanting their children to grow up supporting inequality. They shouldn’t be painted as criminal. They are only seeking what they feel is best for their children. That should be respected, even if we don’t agree with their opinion. That is their legal child. I believe that ‘over generalization’ is actually playing strongly on both political sides as both sides need to relearn compassion and willingness to understand and hear because things may not be exactly what we feel on first hand. The real problem I feel right now is, people are too strongly opinionated, so much so that they want to enforce their will on the other party without rationally hearing out their concerns.

I believe both sides have good intentions. I don’t believe parents are sitting there with their children wanting them to grow up with racial biases (or atleast most parents) but have genuine concerns over content. Once more I feel this is an area that should be respected, not condemned. Even if we disagree with the parent particularly. Wouldn’t we want to atleast be heard if we disagree with something (even if it sounds legitimate)?

Lastly, I believe the politicians of both parties are largely corrupt. I believe we, the people are largely fed what they want us to hear to support their party and their agenda left to contest it out here on the battlefield of day to day living while both sides are marginally profiting from the ensuing chaos.
