I've been hearing rumors of a new, man-made lake in Round Rock. Anyone have any insight?

Are you thinking of Lake Pflugerville?

RR already has a man-made lake in Old Settler's Park, but I did read in my Community Impact newsletter that RR is suppose to be getting more parkland - which may include a new lake. I love that newsletter - so helpful!

Yes, I agree, I find Community Impact to be a very useful (althoug sometimes TOO crowded with ads) small town / community newspaper.
I haven't heard anything about a new man-made lake... They are ugly anyway. Nothing like the real deal.

I believe I read somewhere that all lakes in Texas are man made, except Caddo Lake (which is partly in LA). So, if you've ever seen a lake in TX that's pretty, you probably like man-made lakes.

This article mentions 100 acres reserved for "open space" . Perhaps part will be a lake? Looks like a lot will be happening over the next 2 years around University Dr.
