We're going to be staying in the Georgetown area for Thanksgiving (househunting) and are looking for restaurants who offer a great Thanksgiving Buffet/Dinner -- and I don't mean Golden Corral, etc. We wanna drink!!! Also, we're also looking for the BEST SUNDAY CHAMPAGNE BRUNCH in downtown Austin -- we'll be staying at the Doubletree downtown. I love this forum so I know everyone will help me out! Wish me luck on finding an area with acreage (2+) that I can afford! Thanks!

We were thinking of going out for Thanksgiving and I did some research. There are several restaurants in Austin serving Thanksgiving dinner, but I didn't come across any buffets. Threadgill's was opening a place in Cedar Park this year, you might want to check on them. They would be one of my top picks and they have a full bar.

They're not opening. The neighbors (new neighborhood behind them) scared them away by protesting the live music and liquor thing. I'm not happy...

If you are willing to go downtown, I highly recommend the Thanksgiving buffet at the four seasons. It is $$ but very good.

Are you serious? Man, I was so looking forward to that. I'm not sure I like Cedar Park anymore Just another thing I've liked about Hutto so far. Most people I've talked to want music to be here.

Talking Restaurants w/ Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanks for all of the replies! We're getting in to Georgetown next Wednesday and I'll have to make some calls to restaurants around there. It's a shame about the restaurant you all were talking about (with the live music) won't be opening in Cedar Park. I've been looking at houses with land between Georgetown and Liberty Hill, Leander and Cedar Park, and I'm also looking at a business for sale in Cedar Park. Yes, I'm another transplant! Don't be a hater! 40 yrs in Wash., D.C., 4 1/2 yrs in San Diego, and the past 2 yrs in a tiny town in southwest New Mexico. I miss intelligent conversations! I will not miss the good ol' boy/you foreigners aren't wanted here/everybody knows everybody's business/small town mentality/a 2 1/2 hr drive to an airport/a 1 1/2 hr drive to the nearest 'city'. I miss Home Depot! I miss Jazzercize! So, wish this 47 year old single woman with 6 dogs, two turtles and a macaw some luck in your town! I'll keep reading the threads....I've learned a lot and some of them are actually entertaining! Ha Ha! Take care!
