Short-term rentals and Horse Property (Austin, Georgetown: house, to buy, housing)

I will be relocating, actually coming back home to Austin in July - I will need to find some short-term rental for 2-3 months and wanted to see if anyone knew of anything nice with a decent commute to downtown where I will be working. Also - we currently have 3 horses here in Florida on our property and we will be looking for something close-in to Austin to buy where we can keep our horses on the property with us OR a real good boarding stable and then we would just buy a house in Austin - any help on any of this would be appreciated - we are excited to be coming back home!

It is already August and I just read your post....Did you find any good place to board your horses? We are looking for a place to buy, I guess by Georgetown but we have four horses that would need temporary housing....Could you let me know how it turned out for you..

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

There are actually quite a few boarding stables in the Austin area, including some in and near Georgetown.

Short term rentals of 2 to 3 months for humans are harder to come by (6 months is more common, but still rare) - what exactly would you be looking for?
