Some sleazy landlords have moved from Austin to Georgetown the past 3 years. I suppose they are not the only sleazy types moving there. And when people take their sleazy ways to a nice small town, things will begin to change ... for the worse.

Just like any small town, there are certain areas that are considered "the wrong side of the tracks" which is where this took place. Still a bit surprising. Haven't heard much of this kind of activity in the 15 years I lived there!

Yeah, my wife and I were talking about how much Austin and the surrounding area has grown. She told me the other day that Austin is the 16th largest metro area in the nation. Unbelievable. But, as people continue to move here more bad things will follow.

The whole west campus murder really isn't that rare. No more than sexual assaults or other crimes. Matter of fact it's more common than you might think. Remember the Colton Petonyak(sp?) murder of Jennifer Cave? That was truly sad.

But, I was reading about the recent murder and that had to do with drugs and money owed. What's really tragic is the girl wasn't involved in any of the drugs, just a victim of the evil that is spawned from it.

Austin is now the 15th largest metro, just passing Columbus.
