I would like to hear from minorities from different races. I do not mean to offend anyone, but if you are hispanic (ie: Afro-hispanic, etc.) I'd liike to hear from you rather than white hispanics for obvious reasons. Nothing personal of course.

1) Please tell me your experiences there good and bad in Round Rock, and the surrounding areas such as Pflugerville, Hutto, Austin etc.

2) Experiences you may have had with the Williamson Police Dept. and the Travis PD as well and things that you have heard etc.

3) Is there a difference between the part of RR that is in Travis County vs. the part that is in Williamson County as far as housing, crime, diversity, etc.

4) What has been your experience in North Austin, especially if you work there?

5) If you have children, please give me some input there as well regarding your experiences when you take them to organized sports events and the playgrounds ie: t-ball team practice, tennis lessons etc.

Please tell me as much as you can.

If you feel more comfortable sending me a pm, that is fine.

Blessings,

musicmom

I am not just wanting to hear from Latinos, but minorities in general latinos, AA etc.

Hope that is more clear.

Thanks to the responses that I have gotten so far via pm.

I lived in RR from ages 15-22. The only time I got in trouble with a cop is when my friends and I snuck out of the house and we were out waaaaaay past curfew. I had a lot of friends who had run ins with the cops and hated them but they brought those run ins on themselves. If you follow the law you won't get any hassle. If you don't then expect to see why WilCo has the reputation it has. I would move back to that county in a heartbeat because I felt so safe but we are stuck in San Antonio until we finish school.

I am a Puerto Rican woman - look mulatto to some who don't know that PR's are a mixed culture. I was pulled over by RR PD and lucky me didn't get a ticket although I was over the speed limit. Received a warning.

Seriously, though race isn't an issue. Not for me or my family, not for my friends who are all different races. I think more people look at attitude first - race second.

Good luck in your search.
