Just got engaged and wondering where are some nice areas to take engagement pictures during the day/dusk or even evening time.
Any ideas or locations or examples would help a lot!

I hate when people call Austin ATX

OK enough of that.

There is a peninsula / public park, in the East Riverside Drive area that extends out into Lake Austin just North East of the intersection of South Lakeshore Blvd. and Tinnan Ford Road that probably offers some really nice backgrounds, given that it is surrounded by water.

When the sun is up higher, the Zilker Park Botanical Gardens probably offers some nice backgrounds. In early morning or late evening most of it may be too shady.

A little further West the Zilker Clubhouse offers some nice background views overlooking Austin.

Hamilton's Pool SW of Austin might also offer some nice settings.

I agree. ATX is the airport code for Turkmenistan (or something like that.) Besides, the A could be Amarillo, Arlington, Alpine...you get the idea. Austin, if anything, is AUS!

Now, on to your question:

Mt. Bonnell if you want a picture of the city skyline in the background
Mayfield Park near Camp Mabry
The Capitol Building
Umlauf Sculpture Gardens by Zilker
Bull Creek District Park on Loop 360
