"My student performs on target at C.D. Fulkes Middle school."

Do Texas schools really celebrate mediocrity or am I missing something?

Do Texas schools or this one particular school in TX? My son's school doesn't have any bumper stickers affiliated with it.

I saw this great bumper sticker a couple of weeks ago; it read, "my child doesn't need to be validated by a bumper sticker"

I'm imagining you must be missing something. Personally, I'd take it tongue in cheek, unless they just decided to be PC and have bumper stickers for everyone whether or not they are honor roll students.

I have no idea what that bumper sticker is meant to say. Whoever designed it fell short on getting their point across.

I prefer the one that says "Your kid may be an honor student but you're still an idiot"

Ha. I've actually seen the bumper sticker "My kid can beat up your honor student".

That's a puzzling one, and I agree with an earlier poster - either it's a one-off joke that someone had made, or the school has fallen prey to political correctness (the bane of education and learning) and is giving out bumper stickers for everyone.

some of my faves:

"Your Hummer looks stupid"

"Jesus is coming, look busy"

"South Austin - we're here because we're not all there"

I dunno, I have no idea what the sticker is even really saying, but I suppose it is really for the student's benefit more than anything else ("my parents are proud of me"). Just my guess.....
