After a lot of research, debate, indecision....after several visits and a horrifying amount of money spent on airfare...and after many hours both lurking and posting on this site...we're Austin bound!

Some nice young men driving a giant truck are coming on February 1st to load us up. We've rented a little house and an art studio and can't wait to move. It'll be nice to spend February without any possibility of my face freezing off

Just wanted to say thanks for all the advice from the regular posters on this site. It's been really helpful!

Welcome to Austin. I've lived in Detroit so I know how brutal those winters can be!

Congrats on the move. We sometimes have the random ice storm in February and March so there is still a chance your face could freeze off for a day or 2. You are missing out on the gorgeous weather we are having here today. 75 degrees, sunny, no wind.
