Not simply population, but visible influence (restaurants, place names (if applicable), historical influence, neighbourhoods, and of course demographics too)
There is a very high Macedonian population in Perth...and it seems, at least where I live that everybody has some Italian or Croatian ancestry. I am Croatian though so my family moved to where the other "wogs" we're and we've stayed among them.

A lot of South Africans in Perth too
Do you live near Fremantle? Especially just south of Fremantle? Very close to my neck of the woods. I had a Macedonian friend in school actually.

A number of Macedonians live in North Perth as well. I believe that is the main area. But at only a little over 40,000 in the whole of Australia their WA number could barely be described as a lot.
WA
has the largest numbers in Australia of.....as of 2006 census.......
Singapore born 11,810
but Vic is closing the gap with 10,480
Zambia born 1,440
with NSW next at 890
Zimbabwe born 6,150
with QLD next at 5,750
The largest percentage of United Kingdom people percentage of population Live in Perth by far but third in raw numbers.
WA also has the highest percentage of South African born people although QLD is closing the gap.
Data to be released end of 2012 from the 2011 census should show a rather step increase in China and India born people.
African immigrants are rather visible in Perth also.

Is that Macedonian born people? or people with Macedonian heritage too..because as far as I remember Macedonian is the 10th most spoken language in Australia. And yes North Perth was a base for them, they have their church there but nowadays most have moved out to Stirling area.
According to the 2006 Census Brisbanes vietnamesse populaiton was acutally a fair bit bigger than both perth and adelaides. Their are loads of them in the outer western suburbs like Inala and Dara.
The other thing that stood out from my quick glace was the 11,000 spaniards living in Brisbane, which seems to represent well over half the total spanish population in the country at the time.
Apparently we also have by far the biggest Taiwanesse population in the contry, rumor has it that their are currently many more Taiwanesse people in brisbane than mainland chinesse.

Please, Check your figures on Spanish. There are only 12,280 in the whole of Australia, another of our declining European populations.
Brisbane has in fact around 1,890 making it the third Spanish city after Sydney and Melbourne.
For a few decades now the Taiwan population has favoured Brisbane, but also experienced a rather high rate of return.
One suburb in particular in Brisbane is favoured think it's Spring Vale from memory.
QLD had 9,520 Taiwan born as of 06 census.
NSW next at 8,060 only some 24,370 in the whole of Australia.
Mainland Chinese far pass Taiwan born at 15,060 in QLD a figure which way too small for 2012.
