What is involved in emigrating to australia from england? please help :) (pre-school, places to live)

Hey,

I've always known at some point in my life I want to emigrate to Australia, but I don't know what's involved in doing so, best places to live for my work etc. The plan is that in 3-5 years after I've finished my accounting qualifications we will move, so we have a long time to plan.
I also have a pre-school aged daughter, so a family friendly, good school area is essential to us.

Any advice would be great
